Sophia is a Canadian-Italian screenwriter, director & documentary filmmaker from Montreal, Canada. If you’re wondering if she keeps maple syrup handy, the answer is yes. She holds a Journalism and Creative Writing degree from Concordia University, and has studied cross-cultural barriers & gender at the Université de Paris, as well as improv at New York’s Upright Citizen’s Brigade. A soccer lover and sitcom/comedy nerd, she is currently an MFA Film production student at the University of Texas at Austin, where she spends a lot of time (way too much time) watching sports movies and TV as “research”. Her films explores gender, sports, and culture. More importantly, George Costanza is her life coach.
